Cosmobiology
About ten days ago, I started to work with an old friend. It took some time getting acquainted again, after a little while we picked up where we left off some 5-6 years ago. My old friend’s name is Cosmobiology. No, he’s not the guy who lived across the hall from Jerry Seinfeld! This is a form of astrology that utilizes a 90 degree dial instead of a 360 degree wheel. No houses to look at (or clean!) either. No exact birth date? No problem (although its essential using the 360 wheel)! This configuration of astrology utilizes midpoints and ‘planetary equations’ to come about possibilities within a charting.
Nearing the July 4th holiday, I had started to step up my training. Earlier in the year, I had decided that the twice-a-day training I was doing was just too hard on my system. Since the 4th would be a busy day around here, and the complex of condos I live in, I decided that I could work out on the morning of the 3rd, by skating only :25 to :27 minutes and later in the day, after an afternoon nap, do my weight-training. Here in the heat of the Sarasota sun, the difference between 25 minutes and 27 minutes in immense. The nap is really needed to rest my body and mind, before taking on another grueling :50 workout. That day it went very well, without the angst of actually doing it. I remember making the remark to a friend also weight-training, that I felt surprisingly well, despite a hard :26:30 skating earlier.
Nearing the end of the day, I was doing my reading pf Cosmobiology and doing some work on some charts, and felt electrifyingly ‘great’! I wasn’t even slightly apprehensive about my long morning bike ride, which was to be my only workout of the day. The 4th of July morning bike ride was enjoyable, despite the temperatures being in the mid-eighties at 9a. I showered, ate, relaxed, went to a party, and had a really fine day. I did decide that the best for me and my training was to just do some walking Thursday the 5th ‘as it came about’ and be ready for Friday’s skate / weight doubleheader. Everything went well both Thursday and Friday.
On Friday, I went over the charts. I needed to find out why I had this ‘unexplained energy rush’ over the last couple. O found out some really incredible information which I will share with you now.
In Astrology, the signs are either Fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius), Earth (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) Air (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) or Water (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces). Most, if not all of you are aware of this. Some of you may understand the triplicities each sign falls into too. One of every Fire, Earth, Air and Water sign are Cardinal (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn), Fixed (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) or Mutable (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces). The 90 degree dial repeats the entire chart, one-by-one, as it dials its way thru the entire chart. First are all the Cardinal signs (0-30 degrees), then the Fixed (30-60) and then the Mutable (60-90). It you or your astrologer were to place every one of your planets and points about the dial in their correct spot, the midpoints in a dial will be the same as if you figured out the degrees with fingers and toes, calculator, or counting the degrees, each and every one, on a 360 degree wheel! Trust me! It is fantastic, but true! Not only that but every 5 ¼ degrees on the dial is indicative of ‘energy, action’ principal that the 90 degree wheel work by!

As you can see from this cross-section of my natal and Friday’s dials, the area that holds my Natal Sun at nearly 8 Taurus (or on the dial, 8 Fixed) and Natal Mars at 12 Scorpio (or nearly 12 Fixed). Also marked is the point that is in the middle (direct or indirect midpoint) of the Sun and Mars in my chart. This point happens to be the midpoint. Remember the adage in math, the shortest point distance between two points is a straight line? It is because between Mars and the Sun, 9 Aquarius is the midpoint and it is the ‘indirect way of getting there’ or shortest. But if you follow the line from 9 Aquarius to the other side of the dial (you cannot do it here, but trust me) it is 24 degrees 42 minutes Mutable; the direct midpoint (going from the 8 Taurus point, thru Gemini, Cancer, etc to 12 Scorpio). Works every time!

In this case, the Transiting Mars at 6 Taurus (on Tues 7/4) is starting to make a contact with my Sun. The contact is either conjunct, square, or opposed. We know this because this point is either 0, 90,or 180 degrees away. This contact is a conjunction. If you had a regular chart or a contact sheet with all the planet’s positions on it you would know. But if you didn’t you know that this dial works off the ‘energy, action’ principal of a ’90 degree’ dial. Contact between Mars and the Sun ‘brings energy, or aggression; muscles, getting your blood pumping, working on life matters’. Ah-ha!
Transiting Mars is working its way thru the chart at about 40 minutes (about 2/3 of a degree) every day. This means that on Weds 7/4, it makes it’s exact conjunction to N Sun (marked as such), making the bond tighter, stronger and the results (training intensely) too. This aspect may have been felt in other ways, like feeling more alive, ready to go, go, go! By Thursday, the conjunction to the Sun is starting to weaken slightly, but still powerful. Since I have a Sun~Mars opposition in my natal chart, with Mars the significator (sole ruler of the chart), this is still a very strong aspect! Markings for Friday and Saturday are shown; the reason for the aspect ‘seemingly’ not ‘running out of gas’ were because of the proof shown here. Mars, by Sat 7/7, has now made contact to the N Sun / Mars point. This is very much like the aspect that it has just slipped out of! So the intensity never wanes! It stays the same, just like turning up the flame (no pun intended Mars~fire)!!
So, as Mars does break free from the N Sun, and the contact to the Sun/Mars point, it now works over to pay homage to itself! Yes, the N Mars! Saturday 7/7, I actually did a triple workout (skated, exercises and weights) and Sunday 7/8, biking and exercises! There seemed to be no let –up for me, and I felt great. After reviewing the circumstances, and the charts, I saw an objective Jupiter~Sun contact that warned against ‘overdoing’. I cut back to single workouts, since the chart was showing the need for moderation and the heat here in middle Florida had gotten to magnified proportions.
